Threads that have been inactive or are 'dead' will go here also. To revive a 'dead' or inactive thread, PM an admin [or a mod if an admin isn't around] and they will place it in it's correct location where you may resume rping it. Please follow guidelines for characters which are located in the rules. Do not rp with your character until it is accepted by a staff member. You will know when your charr is accepted when it's thread is moved to the 'Accepted' sub-board. Moderator: Befera | 8 | 21 | on Dec 19, 2007, 10:59pm by .A S T A R A E. in Astarae |
![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Records This is where you may make a list of your characters and where they are, in character, on the site. I recommend only making one of these threads if you have more than two characters. One or two charrs are easy to keep track of without a thread to help you, I think.. but you may use this board as you wish. If you make one of these threads, please try to keep it updated. Since there are no set herds, the characters are responsible for establishing their own. All members may post here and help update herd threads. If you have any questions, check the help board. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Konai Shore This sandy shoreline makes up most of the the western coast of Rotaku Isle. It is said to have the softest sand on the island and this is usually where one would see foals romping in the harmless sands. In the winter, this area is usually very unvisited because it's so much colder by the ocean than further inland at that time. There are a few trees that grow near the line of land and sea. The sun sets near this coastal area and it can be a very romantic place for one to spend sweet time with their beloved. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Nariko Valley This small valley is more of a dip in the land than an actual valley. In rainy times, this is the first place to become flooded with rain plus water from a small stream that runs through it. This area is closed off by tall pine trees and protects it's inhabitants from most of the wind that comes off the nearby ocean. In the spring, this area is very muddy due to the fact that this dip in the land fills almost to the top with snow in the winter. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Michito Cave A small sandy path comes in off Konai Shore into this beautiful cave. This is the ideal place to get away from the sun for a little while if you spend a lot of time near the beach in the summer. This cave is fairly large. It's large enough for a 16-hand horse to stand up in but for other species it may be difficult to fit your mutations into this cave without scraping the top. This cave is fairly dark but at night one can use elemental power over earth to make the various minerals in the rock that form the cave glow a certain color. Some elders claim that each color represents the purity of the soul of the one who enters the cave. To find out for sure if this legend is true, you must break the law and use magic at it's most demonic time, night. Moderator: Befera | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Edoei Grotto As you wander into this grotto located near the shore, you begin to hear strange clicking sounds. Those sounds, some elders say, are the sounds of spirits welcoming you into their grotto. Smal turtles and even a few strange-looking fish can be seen in the shallow waters of this large grotto. The water of this grotto seems to glow a lavender-like hue at night. This supposedly signals that the spirits of the grotto are lighting the water for those that enter. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Keiten Cliffs This ledge-like structure is known to be the tallest rock formation and the tallest landform on Rotaku Isle. The climb to the top of these cliffs is a dangerous one but there are shrubs and sturdy rocks in some places that can help you reach the top alive. Uusally the only reason anyone would want to climb so high is to commit suicide, but there can be other reasons as well. Maybe you just wanna see what the world loks like from there or maybe you just want a little adventure. Anyway, these cliffs are one of the only things that makes Rotaku isle so different from any other island like it on the planet. The Keiten Cliffs can be seen over the trees and it give the island a sort of unique personality at first glance from the water. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Kidoku Forest This forest is located near the center of Rotaku Isle. It's trees are very thin and their bark takes on a grey shade. These trees are difficult to maneuver through because they grow so close together. The forest floor is difficult to see most of the time because of the odd mist that shrouds the area but on a good day you may be able to see the variety of odd plants that line the ground. Some small forest animals have been heard moving about but only a few have ever actually seen these odd creatures. This forest is known to many to be 'evil'. For some, it's paradise. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Ekima Field Ekima Field is the only flat ground area with no trees on it [besides most sandy areas of the three beaches] on Rotaku isle. It's emerald-hued grasses extend to about the knee of the average horse. When the wind blows across this area, the sound of the grasses blowing in the wind can be heard for miles. Other than that, this field is pretty normal. In the winter, this area is completely covered in snow, usually up to almost the tips of the tall grasses. The most beautiful time, however, is autumn because the grasses turn various shades of yellow and brown, creating a totally different image of the field. Moderator: Befera | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Ninda Coast This is the longest shoreline on Rotaku isle that has been named and explored. Ninda Coast makes up the northern and eastern shorelines of Rotaku Isle and is a lot different than the the other two beaches. The sand isnt as soft and fluffy and oftentimes this shore can be dangerous for equines that don't have very good footing. There are jagged rocks closer to the water that could cause one to trip and near the grassy areas farther away from shore, there are sharp sticks that portrude out of the sand that can be dangerous. t gets very cold on this side of the island at night because the sun doesn't set on the north or east sides. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Kamishi Hill Kamishi Hill is located farther inland near the southern edge of the island. It's covered in grasses and shrubs and there's a small grove of trees at it's base. One can see to the grasses of Ekima Field from here but that's just about as far as you can see. This is one of the best places to raise a herd on Rotaku Isle because of the amount of grazing area, the hill is good for looking over the herd for dangerousness.. ness, and the small grove of trees is good for private things and good for hiding. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Samarein Caverns The Samarein Caverns are a system of caves that are at the base of the Keiten Cliffs. It's quite dark in these caverns but once in a while there's a hole on the rock where light shines through. If you have the power, one could create light to see better in these dark caverns. the only problem with this terrain as a herd-raising area is that if the keiten Cliffs were to somehow collapse, the herd living here would be the first to be crushed in all it's weight. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Konora Pond Konora Pond is located pretty much in the middle of nowhere. All you can see is grass for a while and maybe a few trees until you finally come across this small pond. Very few equines know it's exact location but if youre walking and not flying like some species, this area is very difficult to find. This terrian is thought of as an oasis by many but in the winter, it's not really an oasis at all. Snowy territory with a frozen pond wouldn't be much help in the winter. Other than that, this area is a good place to raise a large herd. There's tons of land space, anyway. Moderator: Befera | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Aruki Stream The starting point of this freshwater stream is unknown. The land around much of it that doesn't run through any other named territories is where the herd actually lives. This area can be dangerous for foals that like to wander because it's very easy to walk off into an enemy herd's territory and get caught trespassing. This stream is the largest form of moving freshwater on the island and was formed most likely from flooding in the plains areas of Rotaku isle during rainy seasons over the years. ![[ ]](http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/873/ldofficonpm0.png) | Kasrein Beach This beach makesup the southern and a small part of the western shorelines. This beach and Konai Shore are divided by several large rocks. These large rocks have no name but are the only thing that divide newcomers and equines in the shared lands from this herd's land. This means that if you can swim well or if you can fly or if you can somehow leap these rocks, this land will be very easy to tresspass on. The inhabitants of this terrian probably won't like that too much so keep your distance from this herd unless you wanna risk being killed while asking to join.
